On a work placement, you gain concrete work experience that matches your studies. Our placements are typically in mechanical and production engineering, maintenance (e.g. electrical and automation) and metalworking roles.

A work placement is the best way to build a network with the company and to lay the groundwork for possible future employment at Sako. We also offer apprenticeship opportunities for those who are further along in their studies.
Master’s theses and final projects
We develop our operations continuously, which means we have thesis and final-project topics available for university students every year, mainly in engineering fields.
Summer jobs in industry
Every year we offer a few summer jobs, mainly in assisting roles in the maintenance department or the packing room, or in stocktaking. An orientation towards technology, metalworking or maintenance is considered an advantage for a summer job. Applicants must be at least 15 years old.
Open student and summer jobs
Our most typical production roles include a variety of machining and operator tasks, finishing and assembly work, and packing.
